If it wasn't for that work thing. I would never leave that property. Congratulations for achieving your dreams. TFS.

Nice Kapper! Sorry I ran so long on other comment. I went with Onan in my long book comment lol, because back then those units were not out. And I seen even a 3.5 KW lmao in East St. Louis building that had ran every week on exercise for fifty years. It ran a few lights and a computer lol. I love you lights. I bought some led replacement bulbs for my 200 Watt bulbs in newer garage. Very bright and easy to change out. Fire right up even in -10 weather. They were about 25 bucks a piece from Ace, but worth every penny.

Same deal I got... I also had them add light switches to emergency as you walk through the house from 1 end to the other so you don't have to deal with walking in the dark... Also, have LED night lights all over the place and can walk around in the dark if you want and see just enough you don't trip.

I have that same Generac set-up. Mine actually test runs for 12 minutes weekly. I wonder if the newer models have gone to monthly? I believe that mine is now around 4 years old. It has turned out to be a great investment down here in the Houston, TX area. The homestead is looking awesome sir...

That 22 kw under full load uses ABOUT 3.5 to 4 gallons of propane an hour. How long will that 1000 gallon tank keep you going? How often should the oil and oil filter be changed?

Do you know the dimensions of your pole barn and how high the garage doors are? A building that size looks perfect for my property in the future

Does it power everything or just certain things in the house?

Joe, I don’t know which Generac you got but I took I royal rip on mine. I paid 4800 for the 20kw model and then another $600 for an electrician to set up the ATB and wire things up. In 6 years I’ve had it, I’ve needed it 4 times on my farm here in the Ozark’s and it’s failed me 4 times. I’ve spent over $1.4k in parts and repairs in that time.

LED the way to go, more light output with much less power consumption.

Rapper make sure you do the regular start up procedures to keep that generator in ready order. So many times people don't do the proper maintenance on their generators and when they need them the don't start.
