I am 62, grew up on this music and I love everything Tom Petty ever did. I like to take a day off, now and then, smoke a bowl and start the day with this song! Takes me back to when life was better, and things weren't so fuzzy around here.

I just tapped on the like button, and I was 714 person to like any body out there remember what 714’s were well in my time we called them ludes ’ Qua-. Ludes for those who don’t know .glad I grew up when I did. However, quite ironic, listening to a Tom Petty song, and that number comes up only those in the know understand.

This song absolutely moves me every single time!! I think Howie did backup vocals the best!! Damn shame we lost them! 💔

Tom Petty sure knows how to make four chords sound like a million dollars ♥️

Poor Howie was in rough shape here. What a shame. Played and sang like a trooper. RIP TP and HE. 😢

Tom Petty went down swinging. He finished his 40 year anniversary tour with a hip that needed surgery. He was in a lot more pain than people knew. I saw outtake footage of him in between songs going over and leaning on the piano and stretching trying to get some relief from the pain. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers albums are top shelf and their live performances are really great. Watch their 30th anniversary concert in Tom’s hometown of Gainesville Florida. They are top musicians and have backed up many other artists and played on their records.🎵

I think this is Tom's best song- Musically it is very simple- 3 chords- but lyrically and melodically it is brilliant!

Always a pleasure to listen to Tom Petty pop up on YouTube. Back in the day he saved us from drowning in schlock rock, disco, and pop. Forever grateful.

Lead guitarist underrated, really drove this band with such tasteful solos, no wasted notes.

Tom chokes a bit when he sings " She would be so proud of me". A hit nerve that can't be avoided.
