Being an old spectacle maker we used to have special pins that we heated and fixed this issue. It’s only a temporary fix and only works on Acetate frames

to add to my comment - I just looked it up and eyeglass frames can be made with acetate - so you can try acetone to clean - use enough to soften plastic or try to rought up for superglue or model airplane glue. Just thoughts of things to try if you need to.

Im convinced that glasses companies use a certain plastic that doesnt bond well with any type of glue in order to make more money

Best way to repair your spectacles is to let your local spectacle shop to do the job. It takes only few minutes and is very often free of charge.
If you want to do it yourself, try the following: For most plastic spectacle frames ACETONE works excellently. Dip the surfaces shortly into acetone and then press together. Let cure few minutes. Done. No additional parts needed.
