I know that many social media platforms face this issue, but in the case of Threads, it is currently flooded with children under 13. I don’t understand why the administrators or moderators of this app/platform/social network haven’t done anything about it, especially when these minors upload pictures of themselves, in addition to clearly stating that they are under 13 years old.

kids need to make their own choices. parents should give them options instead of social media.

It's the parents job to control what their children watch and do not the goverment.

The way adults are behaving that it is no wonder the kids are sad. Tell kids that if they don't like the way adults behave then don't behave like them 😒

Republicans who reject big government and nanny state while favoring parental rights should be against this.

I think it’s a good thing kids shouldn’t even have phones until there at least 13 anyway that’s how old I was when I got one and got social media at 14

I'm not sure if this is a good idea to do this.

When I was 13, my friend found a stash of Playboy and Penthouse magazines in the shed behind his neighbors house. Sex education has come a long way man.

Here's a crazy thought, don't have children if you aren't going to try to be a responsible parent.

Teacher here and I’m so glad. Should be more strict.

This will be impossible to enforce. Kids are just going to lie about their ages

Parents are to blame for not seeing what their kids do

It is not social media sites that are at fault it is the parents fault for allowing their children to use them.

We should ban algorithms outright. They are bad for adults as much as for kids.

This keeps stalking, predators and other bully down. When I was 13 no phones or electronics go out and okay and come inside when the light came on

Not enforceable. This would get thrown out in the courts.
