iPhone 15 PRO Price Change: NOT THAT BAD

On Pocketnow Daily, images of the Sony WF-1000XM5 showcasing some design changes just surfaced. It is reported by reliable sources that Samsung is preparing a big update for the camera of the Galaxy S23 series. We have the first look at the Google Pixel 8. Finally, it seems like the iPhone 15 Pro is getting a price increase for the first time in a long time.

Re: pricing, these companies are making more than enough profit , let's not forget in recent years they have abandoned certain features like the headphone jack, ( SD card, MST pay, led notification light, and more on galaxy's), and all the accessories that once where part and parcel of buying a phone except the cable are gone !
Not to mention packaging has been cut by about half as would be shipping cost !
Yet prices have remained at a premium,
in short, I don't mind paying more if I'm getting more stuff, but I actually want to see value in what I'm buying.
In Australia my last iPhone cost 2.5 k, a galaxy fold is around the same or more.
They really need to do better with perceived value if they are going to charge more.

In the UK the 14 pro max increased to £1200 which is around $1450, so my American family have had it good!!

5.8in diagonal is the same as the iPhone X and XS. The iPhone 14 Pro has a 6.1in display, same size as the regular 14 and the 12, 12 Pro, 13, and 13 Pro before it.

Yeah if they're gonna pull the usb-c with a "certified" micro chip in it in order to charge fast and people still pay for the price increase, I'm gonna be so pissed

it would be great for phone makers to not compete in price, but compete in making phones that actually work out of the box. that might be a good start before increasing the prices year after year

I feel like increasing the price by 100 dollars while giving the base model 256gb storage is kinda reasonable, but definitely not more than that. The bigger problem is that apple really handicaps the standard model, and you are basically forced to get the pro version if you want any feature like promotion. It's gonna be crazy to have to spend 1200 dollars just to get an iPhone with 120hz display.

Personally, I can't go with the iPhone, i just can't with the locked systems. it's not just customization, which i love but more with the attitude of "if i can think it, it's probably an app for it somewhere or a setting"...if I wasn't like that, I would give it a go but then again, i would just buy last year's model because I don't like buying the latest and greatest since they're overly priced on both ends of the flagship spectrum. why pay for more when the difference is just a tad? my note 20 ultra, still receives updates, potentially the last major one being 5.1 but security updates for another year. i can live with that.

I hear what you’re saying about the Samsung comparison. My counter point would be that Samsung isn't selling anywhere close to the iPhone numbers. I'm sure price plays a part in that.

nice for you in America to have normal iphone prices, here in Europe they gotten crazy expensive with yearly increases since the iphone x

No one asked apple to use titanium and have solid state buttons. And processor always get upgraded every year. So I'm calling bullshit on this, its just a feeble excuse to make themselves from a trillion dollar company to a 10 trillion dollar company.

Im usually an upgrader every 2 years but honestly my 13 pro max is my favorite phone I’ve gotten from apple since the 5 and it’s more phone then I’ll need for a while.
As far as price most people just put the phone on payments. They don’t car about a little increase.

Smaller pixel, or any phone for that matter, yea. I can live with the Exynos (ie. Tensor) if they get the size right.

Finally someone mentions the high price tag on Samsungs flagships all while using alum for their frames which is cheap! Apple charges less for stainless steel frames! I don’t want any phone above 800 bucks, But if apple is switching to titanium then I understand the increase. Higher end stronger materials usually cost more. So it makes sense. But I’m sure it still won’t be what Samsung charges for the s23 ultra

Huh??? The iPhone 14 Pro screen is 6.1", not 5.8". The Pixel 7 is 155mm long, so 5mm shorter would be 150mm. That would make the display closer to 6.1" or maybe 6.0", but definitely not 5.8"??? Even the Zenfone 9 (5.9") and S23 (6.1") have larger screens in a 146mm body!
I know these are the dimensions released by the leaker, but you guys really should do at least a little background check before just repeating it blindly :/
