Nothing new I was listening to Larry Coryell and Philip Cathrine playing fretless guitars in the early 70's, and Guthrie Govans been playing fretless electrics for a while

Really a nice job playing that beast.
My undergrad degree is upright bass and I love fretless anything.

I have been playing a Godin Glissentar now for about 15 years.
11 nylon strings in 6 courses like an oud but tuned like a guitar.

INSANE fun and far more versatile than most would imagine.
It has definitely created more options and opportunities than limitations.
