3 Piece Goblet - Episode 251

The inspiration for this was watching Mike Waldt with his first live feed on making a goblet when he turned the UKIS Flying Goblet.

There are several reasons to turn a 3 piece goblet....
1. You may only have the cup like with Mike
2. You may not be able to turn a longer goblet that you would like
3. Want to make the goblet out of different pieces of wood

Various woods were used, some coloured with my Walnut Colouring, after they had been sanded, Sanding Sealer, Yorkshire Grit and finished off with Woodwax 22 and Microcrystaline Wax.

Not bad for your first project on new lathe Paul came out a treat as for the wood if no grain marks and white in colour it's lime Paul 😁👍👍

I can't believe how dark the oak turned out. Say, what other woods will turn dark using the steelwool solution?

You need to point out what tools you use. That tool with square shaft, is it a carbide tool and where didd you get it?
