hey I have a 7 pin female harness but an 8 pin male harness and my lights wont work is that the reason or is there some thing else wrong with the wiring?

Please can u give me some info on what type of bulb's do I have to use ? I got stuck and I don't have my stop lights ! I know what woltage to use, but don't know the type of the bulb. Help please !
