Anger Management: I Feel Pretty

What’s happening in this Anger Management movie clip?
Buddy forces Dave stop driving on the way to work in order to sing the show tune "I Feel Pretty", while blocking traffic on a bridge.

What’s the Anger Management movie about?
During an airplane trip, Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler from Big Daddy and Happy Gilmore), a shy businessman who has trouble dealing with conflict situations, has an altercation with a flight attendant that escalates into a false accusation of assaulting her. In court, the judge in charge of the case forces Dave to undergo psychotherapy for anger and aggression management. He meets the famous doctor Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson from The Shining and Easy Rider) who will become his worst nightmare and whose methods turn out to be very eccentric. During the group meetings, he meets colorful and sometimes very violent characters. But things get complicated when the therapist decides to move in with Dave and starts courting Linda, the businessman's girlfriend. Indeed, after many adventures, the couple separates. But when he learns that Rydell is about to propose to Linda (Marisa Tomei from My Cousin Vinny and In the Bedroom), Dave goes to great lengths to win her back.

This scene is absolute comedy gold, totally absurd, and comedy acting on another level, one of my alltime favorite comedy scenes.

I crack up every time I see the stupid look on Jack Nicholson’s face when he goes la la la la la la la la la la

I think of this scene regularly. Adam is almost aways funny, but seeing Jack's face as he sings destroys me every time. So good.

Sandler's best film and performance...and working with Jack Nicholson, must have been heaven.

This will of course be forgotten in the greatest hits reel when Jack Nicholson passes, but of all the wonderful times Jack played Jack, this has to be in the top 10 at minimum.

Comedy, but actually a really powerful message here. If you can stop being dragged around by your own momentum and that of the world's, and take a moment to get centered. Sometimes the feeling of joy is repressed.

It's actually more profound than it might seem at first. If you stop to think and re-center, the world around you won't end.
