Stars and creatives of Netflix's Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (Shonda Rhimes, Tom Verica; Betsy Beers; Golda Rosheuvel, India Amarteifio, Corey Mylchreest, Arsema Thomas) gather on May 4, 2023 with moderator Sheinelle Jones to celebrate their show. Topics include; why Rhimes decided to expand the "Bridgerton' universe and explore Queen Charlotte's early years; how much history of the real-life marriage of King George and Queen Charlotte is incorporated into the fictionalized scripts; how Rosheuvel, as a "Bridgerton" regular, felt about getting her own series; the process that Amarteifio, Mylchreest, and Thomas underwent to imitate the already established older versions of their characters; how racial themes and the significance of sisterhood were carefully integrated into the storylines; and the homage paid to Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather Part II" in the premiere episode.

Corey is so well spoken. The way he explained George and Charlotte’s love story made me tear up 🥺. “It’s the first time George sees someone being themselves. First time Charlotte sees that. And it’s the first time that they experience being seen as well”. Damn, that’s so powerful.

Baby, Shonda hit it out of the park with Queen Charlotte.... and the script, the cast, STELLAR! Corey and India broke my heart. So beautiful... Just loved the whole project, the music, the costumes...all of it. Glad for their success.

The amount of times I rewatched 48:39 should singlehandedly turn it into the Most Replayed moment lol. They are always so fun and I love the reaction of Golda and other "olders" to their bickering, especially Shonda who was nodding like "yep, these are our kids, we hit the jackpot" 😂

I worked on the show and it was such a fun time. Tom Verica is such a kind leader. He is the opposite of every bad director stereotype. And the host was right about Arsema. Her face is flawless.

I'm obsessed with them! And i can relate with India so much like shes 21 and I'm 22, and what she said about find yourself, find what you like to do or your place in the world reminds me that I'm not alone, I'm not the only one who is struggling with self-esteem and be a black woman in society.

PS: Corey mylchreest really is a bonus WHAT A MAN he's funny, gorgeous, kind and talented I'm in love.

This is probably my favorite interview with them. The topics touched upon were so insightful, & I loved hearing their experiences. What India said at 33:43 was so significant in that it truly is a universal thing that black people experience, as sad as it can be to truly dive into why it's also a powerful feeling to lean into with each other. Great & insightful interview. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is really a great series. It's fiction, obviously, but they did a fantastic job of telling the stories of mental illness, friendship, race, & class in the Georgian era, where it could be authentic then & definitely is today, all the while telling this love story. A job well done; they absolutely killed it. 👏🏾💕

Shonda is the most wondrous Wordsmith! 44:54 “we are writing into history that which has been erased”. Amazing. Slavery was a stain on humanity.

I want to celebrate Black people as much as anyone, and I’m a middle aged Chinese-American woman! Yet, I feel seen! Shonda is elevating all races. ❤ love & respect! #QueenCharlotte
