For all the faux bird conservationist, removing the juvenile bird from a man made fountain saved its life. The bird will slowly die there with no fish in the water to eat. There’s probably not enough clearance to fly high enough over the buildings that it could break its neck crashing into a window. Think of an airplane, these birds lift off like an airplane on the runway. They don’t just flap their wings and fly up like a helicopter. Removing the bird to the wetlands will give it a better chance of getting its strength back and moving on. My only concern if it’s not familiar with the area, it doesn’t know about the predators here. I would’ve brought it in temporary captivity to make sure it was healthy, fed, well rested, and then released it to catch up to the rest of the flock. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was lucky to land on real water. It could have found the nearby solar thermo power plant and turned into coyote food.

Those birds are supposed to be protected. There was no reason for them to capture him every lease with somewhere else only get that so they would continue to show their show and make their money instead of leaving the show closed down until the bird left on its own just like people with money, they found ways to make it legal but if anyone did this to the bird, if it was in their backyard pool, they would be jail
