Beşiktaş is also considered as one of the city centers, both residential and commercial especially for small businesses.

At the same time, besides having a major public bus and dolmus terminal, Beşiktaş is also one of the sea hubs on the Bosphorus from which boats depart for various neighborhoods on the shores of the Asian side.

The district of Istanbul Beşiktaş is located on the European shore of the Bosphorus. The Bosphorus has been settled for a long time, and there are many places of historical interest in Beşiktaş.

Beşiktaş is located in the European side of the city, and geographically composed of coastal and interior settlements. Despite its small surface area and population, it is ideally located at the junction of arterial roads of Istanbul, and has a convenient location to world-class amenities.

Beşiktaş square

The BeşiktaşSquare is a cosmopolitan and lively square, a transportation hub and also a great place for day out activities such as relaxing at the wide range of cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants by the seaside.

Located by the Bosphorus in the Besiktas district, the square and the environment is also a popular meeting point. The Bosphorus ferries, Taksim buses and many more are all depart from the area.

How to get to Beşiktaş square

You’ll find Beşiktaş Square in the heart of the Beşiktaş district. Situated just by the sea shore. The most practical way to get to Beşiktaş Square is via Bagcilar-Kabatas tram (T1 line), and than walking or taking public bus to Beşiktaş
- From Sultanahmet, Eminonu, Galata or Karakoy, take the tram. The closest tram stop is Kabatas.
- From Taksim Square the funicular to Kabatas

Kabataş to Beşiktaş 2 km (app. 30 min- by walk)

Ferries (Üsküdar to Beşiktaş or Kadikoy to Beşiktaş)
