Hyundai Palisade 2026 Review: Wow—It’s Basically A Genesis!

Tom Baker reveals ALL the changes to the 2026 Hyundai Palisade that will be released in late 2025 with a new hybrid engine.

DIESEL IS DEAD as Hyundai replaces the old V6 petrol and 2.2-litre diesel with a 245kW/330hp 2.5-litre turbo petrol hybrid system instead. So prices will be up, emissions down, fuel consumption should still be decent.

Plus, a 213kW/285hp 2.5-litre turbo (non-hybrid) is under consideration, as are at least two trim grades including this CALLIGRAPHY.

The Palisade sits above the SANTA FE in Hyundai’s SUV lineup and is almost like a GENESIS inside, it’s that luxurious!

The Hyundai/Kia group with each generation keeps kicking goals. Looks awesome.

Less screens and better integration, actually looks OEM not aftermarket add on, I love it.

Absolutely no need for gigantic screens. This is perfect! Unbelievable what they are making at that price.

After watching Carsauce, this review is so much calmer and easier to watch and listen to.

isn't the petrol only on a FWD base model. That would explain the dominance of diesel versions.

89% diesel just shows the avg aussie has 0 taste in vehicles the outgoing 3.8L v6 went pretty well it is flawed without AWD just like the v6 santa fe they had very little traction from a stop in the wet

The only reason the high percentage numbers of diesel is that AWD was only offered on the diesel. Mind you the diesel engine is not so refined its noisy. But the palisade is well insulated interior wise so you'll really hear the engine when the windows are down.

I own the 2022 model and do i love it. Would i buy another yes but this car deserves a more refined patrol engine with AWD

This looks awesome. As someone who drives a WN Caprice V and was looking at an X5 for my next car this will absolutely be a consideration. The current palisade although a very nice car just never did it for me having that underpowered 4 cylinder diesel. I like power/comfort and driving so to be stuck with that underwhelming engine was a big no. Now with the hybrid it should hopefully be a different story.. Looking forward to test driving it

I have a gv80 and a g80 with 305000 km !!!!
I just had my first big repair in the 3.5 lt sedan, tail shaft.
Otherwise better than any euro I had. If this car is anything like the genesis it is amazing

So weighting the Palisade and BMW X5, today, I would buy the Hyundai hands down. For the tech, safety, comfort and value/price, 1000% yes for the Pali.

As long as it’s not slow diesel, it will be fine as people will get use to petrol hybrid which is way more fun to drive. I think they can actually built a pick up on this platform with bigger cab and bed than little ranger or hilux

Isn't the Ioniq 9 larger? Or is it because that hasn't been launched?

I like how the screens are in the dash

To drop the diesel which accounts for 89% of sales seems a big risk, when that’s a pretty clear message re the market for the car. Hopefully when the Libs get in and drop the NVES manufacturers can actually allow the diesel along side the hybrid and give buyers choice.

Tell you what… that’s a nice car. Even nicer spec.

I really hope that Hyundai brings the hybrid system to the calligraphy trim.

The rear was obviously copied from range rover but I don't care - looks amazing.
