Brian Nielsen's career remained nearly flawless until it was his turn to step into the ring against an Iron Mike who, going into his forties, still had a lot to offer in the boxing world.

In today's video, we bring you the downfall of one of Denmark's greatest boxing figures, against the American legend whom very few managed to beat.

Brian Nielsen won the bronze medal at the nineteen ninety-two Olympics in Barcelona, and then began his professional career in September of that same year at the age of twenty-seven. Advancing in his professional career, Brian managed to beat greats such as Ross Puritty, James Smith, Tony Tubbs, Tim Witherspoon, and even the legendary Larry Holmes, where it is perhaps important to note that he was already forty-seven years old at the time of the fight.

Nielsen managed to equal Rocky Marciano's record of forty-nine undefeated victories. But, he was not satisfied, he intended to surpass the record of this great champion. Plans that were cut short when Dicky Ryan defeated him in June nineteen ninety-nine, during the tenth round.

Mr "ARROGANT FAT" stood toe to toe with Mr Tyson for 5 round!! For that I give him much respect! He even continued after the low blow. He had a free pass to escape the loss. He chose to fight on. Big respect for both of these WARRIORS!!!

Though I am NOT a fan, Nielsen wasn't an arrogant person, and what is not mentioned in this video is the fact that Nielsen was severely dehydrated due to poor match preparation. Still Tyson was clearly the (much) better boxer.

Before the match, Brian was asked if he would end his career, if Tyson beat him. He indicated that losing to Tyson wasn't something to be ashamed of. Still, after the match, he apologised to his fans. I guess he wasn't happy about his performance, even though he didn't expect to win.
