Thanks for the video! Same seats and process for the Land Rover Freelander 2 (at 4:45) when moving the retaining plate back with a hammer and screwdriver - on the LR2 you have to gently prize off the grey mini panel to reveal a torx head securing bolt which must be removed to allow the retaining plate to move back. Otherwise there isn't a hammer in the world heavy enough to move it. This video really helped in removing the seats on my LR2 but I did ruin a couple of screwdrivers before realizing the bolted arrangement.

Just an silver "tab" that hes hammering
Is just the top of a "C" clamp pivoted at the bottom of the "C".
I just pushed mine towards the rear with a small screwdriver.

I realize this is an obvious mistake, but there are four bolts that hold the front of the seats; not three. Two for each seat.
