By contributing to the Scoliosis Biobank, you can further pediatric medical research and lead to advancements in pediatric idiopathic scoliosis.
Doctors and scientists use your genetic makeup to understand idiopathic scoliosis at a molecular level – determining why kids and teens get scoliosis, how we can better treat it and how we can prevent it in future generations. During your pre-surgery consultation, your surgeon will ask if you’d like to participate in an anonymous blood sample that will be stored, along with your medical history, in our biobank.
Research is our strongest tool to improve the health of kids and teens, and when you donate, you connect doctors, scientists and other kids with idiopathic scoliosis.
