Chicopee Schools Asks Superintendent To Resign After FBI Arrest

Lynn Clark was arrested Wednesday on a charge of making false statements.

I’m sorry… did I just miss something ?.. she was put on paid leave, voluntarily?! After being ARRESTED by the FBI, lied about sending threatening texts and, there was proof of all of it…. You people are spineless. She should have been fired, then held personally liable for legal fees and damages brought against her from all parties being the police chief and the local county/ state.

I read up on this. She called the FBI, asked to come in and talk to them and then lied. She quite literally did this to herself. The hubris is astounding.

According to the criminal complaint, Clark sent the messages because she felt if the job applicant became chief of police, it would "negatively impact" Clark's position as superintendent of schools

We don't need more laws we need to enforce the ones we have to the fullest. Also this is the kind of person that's supposed to be watching the teachers who are watching our kids. I don't feel sorry for this person of power people like this should never ever had the position they had. Even if she had a reason still not cool

What's interesting is there's no repercussions for this lady after she's been arrested by the FBI. But a parent voicing concerns about their child being raped by another student at a school board meeting gets beaten and arrested by the police when the school board doesn't like the parents comment.

Always wondered how “paid leave” is even a punishment. Sure, you’re technically in trouble, but more so just on vacation.
