In this tutorial let us see learn How to use AUTO FORMAT Option in Excel
You might be aware that formatting data every time in excel is a deadly task.

Do you know that we have an amazing shortcut in excel which can auto format the data in quick time?

Let us quickly dive into the working mode now with an example now.

Here is the example that I would be using for formatting.

First, let us ass the Auto Format option to the quick access toolbar.
1. Go to File, click on options, click on quick access toolbar
2. Under choose commands from drop down menu, select “Commands Not in the Ribbon”
3. select “Auto Format” option and add it to quick access toolbar.
4. Click OK
5. Now, you can view the Auto format icon in your quick access toolbar.
Now, let us see how to use this Auto Format
Let us format this sample table.
1. Select any cell in this table
2. Go to quick access toolbar and click on auto format button
3. Here, in this window, you will have different data formats to select
4. Select one as per your wish and click OK.
5. You can observe that it has instantly applied the chosen format on our data.

It is very easy and nice right.

If you want to modify the format further from these choices, you can also do that.

Let’s say, I format the font as bold and Red color.

1. Select your data and click on auto format button.
2. Select a format in the window and click on “Options” button.
3. From options, you can untick which you don’t want to apply the formatting.
4. Click OK.
5. Now you can observe that the formatting has not applied for fonts.
If you want to remove the formatting completely, just
1. Select the data
2. Click on auto format button
3. Select none option
4. Click OK.
5. You can see the plain table like this.

Thank you for this! I was using the alt + o + a and depending on what language you use it didn't alway work. But with this shortcut it is much easier.
