Best I have seen. I studied this stuff in 1976 but never really understood it, just went thru the motions. I never had need for it at work, but it is still interesting.

BRAVO! You basically tuirned 6 lessons of my professor of automatic controls into 15minutes of clear teaching.

I am studying this topic for an exam with a friend of mine, I had a fair understanding of the the analysis of LTI systems...but your visual explanation made me connect a lot of dots and gave a much stronger understanding on why poles influence the output....amazing video. thanks

in the region of divergence in the laplace 3d plot, the fourier transfer for all the sigmas in that region shouldn't exist anymore, so the 3d plot should be cut off at that point.
so, @8:23, the last curve at the most negative of sigma axis should not exist.

That's it! the fking passive low pass filtrr has a truncated pole 😅 no bigger gain than 1 (0db)
