I got all 10 English versions way back in like 2003-2005. each like 10 bucks. But it sent me on a journey through Nihei's works afterwards. I have loved this manga and artist since I discovered it way back in the gap.

The faces are kind of irregular in the first 2 volumes, after those he improves a lot.

Right now BLAME! is my favorite manga overall. Mostly because of its wierdness, art-design and just mad world. It's great!

Before I even get into the review, I gotta say. There is something absolutely stunning about how black the ink is in the Master Edition. The big spread pages blow my mind.

Thanks man. I couldn't tell what the difference to the master edition was just buy looking on Amazon. I have volume 1 in manga size and it's hard for me to make out the stark black and white action in those tiny, super detailed panels so I'm excited to get the master edition of volume 2!

I feel like blame is one of the few manga that you probably can just read without the dialogue, I just picked up the master edition and I love it so far after the first chapter, it's somewhat hard to follow though, I'm excited to get book 2 because i hear the artwork ramps up even though it started off really good. I just love the atmosphere of this manga. It's somewhat of a fractured storytelling experience. You get bits and pieces and you really have to use your imagination to figure out exactly how all the scenes are played out.

Looking at the oversized art in the Master Edition of Blame! makes me imagine an alternate universe where Tsutomu Nihei did the artwork in Attack on Titan.
