Am i the only person that thinks that souvenir skins shouldn't have their original stickers scraped and they lose all value + Putting 4 of the most expensive stickers on an awp dragon lore that don't even match any of the colors of the skin looks extremely bad and shows that the person has bad taste and too much money? The gold stickers, especially the ones that you can't even buy from the market, look way better and give uniqueness to the souvenir skin. And if the original crafter wanted a 4 times titan holo dragon lore, why didn't he just buy a normal one for way less(instead of souvenir and scrape them)?

The main thing distinguishing skins from NFT's is the "universe" that skins exist in. NFT's have no usability, to anyone really. They are purely (and if done correctly) a virtual collectors item. Skins however, exist in CS which has some odd 1.5 million daily users, an esports scene etc. That "universe" basically cements their value as a functional item for a lot of people. NFT's just simply do not serve any real purpose in any virtual "universe". Skins exist on the backbone of an extremely popular platform with a near 10 year history. That is the difference. Valve also serve as a sort of copyright holder making sure no two skins are too much alike. NFT's basically have no rules preventing them from being mass produced and so they're immediately threatened as a valuable item. The only real way to have NFT's become valuable would be if enough people engage in some other virtual space with a sort of "government" like valve, controlling supply and production.
