USA Health Insurance is a Scam!

It took me 21 years to realize how much of a scam health insurance is in the USA.

I just paid less than the equivalent of $800 for a full YEAR of all-inclusive health insurance in Spain.

I'm at a loss of words

I hurt myself hiking in France when I hurt my foot. Went to the emergency room, saw the doctor, no tests. When it was time to pay, I was shocked (in a positive way), that my bill was 26 Euros!!! Just walking in an emergency room in the US costs around $600!

European countries (and many other countries around the world) don't have a 'health care industry", they have health care services, because access to health care is a basic human right.

Imagine being a Spanish citizen like myself and paying nothing at all. That's why we pay our taxes, for the government to provide social rights. Imagine how we laugh when in America they call you a "communist" if you want such a system

In another video you had complained about the high taxes we pay in Spain.
We don't need to get private health insurance.
We have free public health care that in some regions is better than private health care.
That's what those taxes are for👌

Welcome to Europe! Yes, you don't go broke when you have a baby, yes, you don't go broke when you have cancer, and yes, you don't have to go broke if you fall down the stairs and you end up in a wheelchair.
This is an important point. Because we pay more taxes, everyone gets the best healthcare in the country you stay in. Many Americans hate taxes, but if you want to be certain you can have a life after a terrible accident, you still can live a good life in Europe. Obamacare is just a little push to this system. We don't have to individually or by company have to buy a health insurance. They are way to expensive. But if all of the people in a country chips in a little bit ( through taxes), nobody has to worry about expenses like going to a doctor or hospital. It's free. We call it social democracy. Many Americans think that socialism is the same as communism. They could'nt be father wrong from the truth. Most European countries have a socialist democrat government. And we are not communists. ❤

I simply can’t understand how in a country with around 300 million people you have such a high health care prices! A larger market than Europe should have cheaper everything. Why not?

Just another example why taxes (which pays for a lot of health care, child care, public transport, safe roads, water supply - need I continue?) are not to be avoided at all cost, but actually quite a good idea... Of course it has to be a fair tax system, not a system in which the rich pay less taxes than the ordinary citzen.
