Forget the nibbler, I’m more interested in the racing dog.

The dog running in circles in the background was the best.

I just bought one of these and was going to try it at work today (metal roofing contractor), would like to use for cutting out circular vent stack protrusions. Looks like a grinder may have been an easier option for you cutting out that vent for the crawl space. Enjoyed watching your dog livin it up!

Their is an adjustment screw that allows you to turn the cutting head 90' which would allow you to do that corrugated material.

It would be nice to see you revisit this test with the tool adjusted for the 90 degree setting that would allow you to follow the corrugated shape. Thanks for posting great content! 👍

People coming down hard on your ryobi drill!

They are actually surprisingly impressive. That said, they are crap compared to name brand stuff, but a homeowner probably doesn’t need much more than what a ryobi can do. Great bang for the buck. When I used to use ryobi, they got me through several years at my job, until I could afford to buy contractor grade stuff!

That dog is having the time of his/her life! lol... Thank you for posting this. I am looking at using tin for a ceiling in a tiny home and this helped me see my options.

Thanks for the review as I was also wondering about these style of nibblers.
Btw ... Your dog is awesome and stole the show.

You can turn the head and drill.

You can also make an angle grinder attachment that will allow steeper approach/departure angles. I use a router speed control to reduce speed and check the grease in the head pretty regularly since the speed is still above what is recommended by manufacturer. But, like any alterations to a product, your warranty is void. But we are talking about a $30 tool I have gotten a lot of use from.

I have one of these. To go over bumps turn the nibbling head end 90 degrees with a wrench. If the thread gets too loose put a thin washer, or enough paper or cardboard between to get it to 90 degrees when tightened! Hope this helps someone, great video!

sweet i use one of those nibblers hook on to a 1/4 12 volt tiny impact driver drill thingy. it works awesome! it flows around curves nicely using that tiny impact drill, with the impact the hex locks into so it wont fall out no matter how much vibration you add to it

I'm just looking at that galvanized corrugated skirting, that is some of the toughest stuff that ever made in 60s down in the Florida Keys, it's very common for all mobile homes to have that around it, I seen that stuff last up to 70 years with all the salt spray, brought on by the hurricane seasons, and never rust out, If you throw a micrometer on that piece that you cut out compared to what they sell at Home Depot today you'll find is twice the thickness, it's not the tool, it's the metal, and by the way, that's one beautiful sunset. Great video, !

Loved the review. I was caught up in watching the dog having fun in the video. The dog was definitely having fun running. Thanks for the review.

Hey mate. What a clear and well described set of instructions. I now know how to use my tools! Thank you so very much

You know you can turn the cutter insert to change the direction of cut?
By rotating it 90 degrees it will allow the unit to align with the corrugations and turn with them. The drill axis would then be perpendicular to the cut direction instead of parallel with it.

The nibbler was a link to your video which was added to an online auction that I was looking into but much like the below comment, 'forget the nibbler' the dog in the background was way more interesting! The video you filmed was good but watching your Dog play was awesome.

I love your high energy dog that obviously loves to run around in large circles behind you.

I'm late to this party, I had a nibbler in my toolbox for probably 7 years, and finally wanted to use it. Your video was a great tutorial. I have the blue version of Ryobi Drill, and two of the newer monkey puke green Ryobi drills. All of them have the problem where the chuck will come loose on it's own. It seems that no matter how tight I try to get the chuck around whatever I'm using, it comes loose, I don't think it's a vibration thing, because it's happened when just drilling something easy. I have had it come loose especially with spade bits and circular saw bits (the ones from Lenox), I've also had them come loose with the Ryobi rapid change adapter for drill bits. Seems to be a flaw with the chuck. I've even had to have the chuck changed on the newer drill (it got locked open and couldn't open or close). Still has the flaw (or is it a undocumented feature?) Regardless, it's anoying for sure.

That border collie is the star of this video, hands down!
