I traveled to Moscow via Budapest(stoppage), Zagrev, Lubliana, Venezia, and Furenzia to Roma took 67 hours by train- that was the longest time I have been inside a sleeping train. Many 5-6 times I traveled from Moscow or St. Petersburg to London Via Poland, East Germany, and West Germany, then either Holland or Belgium to the UK crossing the English Channel by large Ferry(like a Cruise ship) in the late 70s and 80s and at that time no internet, no mobile phone, but only Map and never had problems.
