But Vietnam won! The north captured the south in 1975.

But why didnt the Soviet or Chinese send thier own elite pilots to challenge US forces? The North Koreans did so.... and why didnt the Soviets send Tu95 or Tu16 bikers to the VPAF to launch raids into South Vietnam? Or VPAF launch raids into South Vietnam and attack US choppers?

No matter how much better American pilots might have been or how much more sophisticated their equipment was, they lost the war anyway, because they had no business fighting it in the first place.

TheVietnamese pilots had worse equipment than the US, but because they were more cleaver and more smarter they were able to go toe to toe with the US Superpower.
