The hit documentary from the 2016 Sundance Film Festival goes inside the life of Steve Gleason, the former New Orleans Saints defensive back who, at the age of 34, was diagnosed with ALS and given a life expectancy of two to five years. Weeks later, Gleason found out his wife, Michel, was expecting their first child. A video journal that began as a gift for his unborn son expands to chronicle Steve’s determination to get his relationships in order, build a foundation to provide other ALS patients with purpose, and adapt to his declining physical condition—utilizing medical technologies that offer the means to live as fully as possible.

I just saw this today and cried the entire movie. So heartbreaking and inspiring  all at the same time. Life is  unpredictable and your tomorrow is not guaranteed.  Live each day like its your last and love people around you.

As a boy I looked up to this amazing football player, watching him play for WSU football. As a man I know look up to him as a father and as a leader. You will pass down so much to that son of yours Steve. You are amazing. A true definition to a role model Athlete. Thank you.

Cried (hard by the way) for 2 hours and left the theatre with a smile on my face. Please, if you go see a movie.. See Gleason.
You can't feel bad for yourself, or about much, after this inspirational TRUE story. Love this movie. Love his wife. I love Steve Gleason. #GleasonMovie

One of the most powerful shows I've ever watched, a lesson in perspective and human spirit for all of us. Michel deserves the Medal of Honor too.

Brilliant. Anyone who suggests they are a victim or wallows in pity needs to watch this documentary at least twice. Then they might stop feeling sorry for themselves and learn to live in the moment. Steve's attitude towards life is nothing less than inspiring.

just got finished watching this. if you haven't seen it, stop what u are doing right now and watch it. it was beautiful, sad, awesome, surreal. makes u put things/life in perspective. I was emotional through the whole movie and so was my wife. I love this guy. UNREAL how this happened to him out of nowhere. but it's life I guess. have to play the hand you are dealt.

Watched this with my wife.  Never cried at a movie before. And  I certainly have never held my wife after a movie and cried with her before. Powerful.

I just watched the entire movie/documentary. OMG, I am in Awe of Steve, Michele and their son River for their love of one another and their perseverance. They have devoted, caring and loving friends/family. This movie really moved me and reminded me of what is really important within our lives, however long it is. Everyone needs to see this. I thank Team Gleason for sharing. 😇👍❤
