Thank you so much for watching! This box cake mix hack is the perfect pumpkin spice cake to share for many reasons, but PUMPKIN SPICE CAKE, need I say more, lol! This cake mix hack uses a couple substitutions and additions of secret ingredients that make this cake stand out from the rest. And the best part, it is EASY! The recipe and things I used are below.

🔨Tools I used for this cake:

Pumpkin Spice Box Cake Mix HACK 🎃
1 box spice cake mix (15.25 oz)
1 small box of instant pudding mix (I used cheese cake flavor)
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 cup pureed pumpkin (100% pumpkin)
1/2 cup butter melted (1 stick)
4 eggs

Cake Recipe:
Pre-heat your oven to 325 degrees
Combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine. Make sure to not add hot butter on top of your eggs so they don't cook :)
Scrape the bowl and mix again to combine.
Fill your cake pans or cupcake pans about 2/3 full
Bake until a toothpick comes out clean (My cupcakes took 17 minutes and my small bundt cakes took 35 minutes)
As soon as the pans are cooled enough to touch, wrap your cake pans in press-n-seal, remove your cupcakes from the pan and place into a freezer bag and freeze for at least 2 hours.

Frosting Recipe:
1/2 cup butter softened (1 stick)
1 - 8 oz. block of cream cheese softened
4 cups of powdered sugar

Combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine until smooth. Separate into bowls and color with gel food coloring.
