TBH Craig Ferguson was the best late night host for 9 years straight

He made it all fun. He knew the people at home and he talked to them like he was in the room with them.

He’s my favorite late night host of all time for one simple reason: He never allowed himself to stop being an actual comedian. He refused to fully conform to the format that can suck out the creative juice that makes a comic funny and unique. He made the show entirely his own and that’s why its had such an enduring legacy. Conan is the only other one that comes close imo.

Absolutely peerless, a raw, honest, unpredictable, absurd and whimsical goofball. Never taking himself or most importantly the job too seriously.

Craig hugging the camera for that e-mail was honestly so heart warming. I love him.

It's honestly awesome seeing so many people still loving Craig and appreciating that this show was so much more than "just another late night show" to a lot of people ❤ I remember catching it one night when I was having trouble sleeping and it became a staple of my nightly routine until he left

The part about the 11 year old cracked me up because I watched the show starting when I was like 8 and by the time it was on my mom would be basically asleep and not paying attention and she'd just see a robot, some puppets and a horse and figured it was alright for me 😂

A Craig ferguson compilation is just what the world needed! Thank you!

Practically every talk show host would ask set up questions that the guests were aware of and get the chance to tell their story. Letterman, Leno and Conan all had to do this. But with Craig it just seems like a natural conversation where he would ask anything and the guests loved it

This man brought tears to my eyes each and every night in the late 2000s .. still continues to make Me laugh to this day

I came late to the show...I worked early and slept early during the years this was on air...and I don' generally watch TV, much less talk shows, to begin with...but after discovering these clips...I realize I missed something glorious, something that was more than the usual. I liked Craig immediately, the way one old punk rock refugee and recovered individual knows another on sight. That restless curiosity and humor that adds up to what it takes to survive your mistakes and cherish a life that is sometimes confounding. Craig 'gets it'. What a heart. Very glad this material is still out here, waiting to be found.

Ohmygosh, I loved watching Craig so much. I'd forgotten how completely unhinged the show became now & then. Best theme song ever! What a lovely man, just plain honest and SUCH a goofball. I adore him. Part 2, yes please.

Craig and Letterman were always my favorites. But Craig was something else. When something horrible happened, he was always honest and showed his emotions. Late Night tv is missing that without him

I’m from Springburn, where Craig spent a lot of his youth outside Glasgow. He is an absolute living legend and sense of pride for all of us Glaswegians. I’ve actually adopted some of his personality traits when going in for job interviews and such. Works like an absolute charm! Thanks for the compilation friend!

His laughter is so genuine and so contagious. This show helped get me through a very rough time. For an hour every weeknight, I could forget everything and laugh all the air out of my lungs. Bless this man!!

This is a fantastic clip full of some stuff I've completely forgotten about. It's crazy how long it's been since he's left us but you know, I love how much the fans keep it alive. Great work, do more!!

What was great about him is he had no illusions about how unserious his job was and how unserious it was talking to celebrities. But the guy has a great mind for comedy and witty enough to improv with anyone; and as funny as we all know he is, he is the first to laugh at himself... because how can you not, even if you are Craig Ferguson.

10000x better than corden could have ever hoped to be as a host. And 1 million better a human being.

I miss Craig's LLS every day. I've watched late night shows ever since I was a kid, grew up with Letterman and Leno then Conan... but Craig was just on another level. He was a phenomenal improvisor and it was like magic how he could turn nothing into comedy gold, and he always knew when it was time to move on and try new characters or bits. He was always 100% genuine and that really shown through with his interactions with his guests, and I loved how he built up a roster of "regulars" that he got along with so well that the interviews just felt like old friends chatting it up. There are so many moments from that show that are indelibly etched into my brain. Late night is dying now because it's either become completely politicized (Colbert, Meyers), fake/hokey (Fallon), and/or plain unfunny (Kimmell... well, most all of them now). I understood Craig wanting to move on and do something else with the rest of his life, but we really need him back.
