Actually we did it (this building have done by my company) in rhino and Archicad. And what you did even closely not the same as it have been done. If you want see real model of this building. Let me know.

Hihi, one quick fix for your problem with the intersecting roofs is to set one roof to be on top of the face and the gold one to be on bottom of its face. Good luck
