We need more readers. I am not against learning from videos however reading slows down the pace and makes kids more focused. This is why I am trying to write, illustrate and publish Children's Book. However, it's time consuming and the financial returns seem uncertain. Thank you for taking us this issue and bringing so many relevant points home!

I got this series long back…and have been reading it to my 6.5 yr old and this series is such fun… Anta Gafil is something you start blabbering when you are alone…it’s surreal …

TCPL - The Community Library Project in Delhi NCR and its free children's libraries are living proof of the power of books and stories. A lot of the books, in Hindi and English, are lavishly produced and illustrated. At some libraries we have regular story telling sessions too.
But I still miss Nandan and Chandamama...and there were excellent story-digests in Bengali too.
साइकिल Cycle is surely one amazing magazine in circulation...

I have studied those 6, 7, 8 class Hoshangabad Science. It was fun to learn.

By the way, now Hoshangabad has been renamed to Narmadapuram and that science has been discontinued.

All the books promoted in this video are in Hindi, but the whole interview is in english. And they are thinking that this message should reach all the Hindi speaking students and parents. 😅

No one really read out to the children born in the 60s and 70s at home. The teachers used to read out the lesson sometimes. But story books we naturally fell in love with. They were available and nothing else was there to do. Is read aloud really necessary to cultivate the reading habit for pleasure?

Problem with people like Yogendra Yadav is they despite being well read are still myopic and biased which is evident from the first statement he makes where he sees only Saraswathi Shishu Mandir as Deep Politics and cannot see Madrasas, Sunday Schools and other religious training schools or for that matter the literature peddled by Marxist school of thought. What then is he going to contribute to enlightenment younger lot. Let him widen his thinking first
