Adafruit NFC/RFID Shield for Arduino

Показать описание

The Adafruit NFC shield uses the PN532 chip-set (the most popular NFC chip on the market) and is what is embedded in pretty much every phone or device that does NFC. It can pretty much do it all, such as read and write to tags and cards, communicate with phones (say for payment processing), and 'act' like a NFC tag. If you want to do any sort of embedded NFC work, this is the chip you'll want to use!

Got my shield about a week ago and have been at my computer all day and up late several times. If I were more experienced with Arduinos and NFC, it probably wouldn't have been as tough :)

So far, I love the board and have it setup to scan Mifare classic cards and save the data to an SD card. Time to move onto some more fun now that I understand the basics!

You can certainly mount this on the bottom of a robot and have it read RFID tags on the floor! Guiding the robot to specific locations based upon which tag it reads is up to you and your robot. =]

Nice project, nice video! BTW, you used perfect vocal energy and pacing along with your own smooth voice for that narration (using close mic). 100% pro.

It's a Panavise, and we have them in the Adafruit store as well! =]

Sure, this shield can also emulate a card, but the max reading distance is about four inches-- maybe more trouble than a wire! =]

Stacky headers! They're available in the Adafruit store.

This board IS an RFID reader. And writer. And emulator.

This product looks like just what I was looking for. I've got Zero Arduino experience right now, but I'm thinking of taking on a project to create a door lock that uses 2-step OTP over NFC from an Android phone (or simple RFID tag)

Check out the link in the description for specs, the code library has a sample sketch showing how to store different types of info in the sticker (or any of the other mifare tags we carry)

Check the link in the description for all specific info-- but we said in the video that the max distance is about 4 inches.

I am Kannathasan, currently a final year student studying electrical and electronics. I would like to ask a question about a product. What is the difference between ADAFRUIT PN532 NFC/RFID CONTROLLER SHIELD FOR ARDUINO AND PN532 NFC/RFID CONTROLLER BREAKOUT BOARD? Which product can I use to communicate with other NFC phones? I mean P2P.
