Страдивари-ансамбль Мариинского театра – коллектив музыкантов, играющих на струнных инструментах, созданных великими итальянскими мастерами XVII–XVIII веков: Николо Амати, Антонио Страдивари, Джузеппе Гварнери, Джованни Баттиста Гваданини и Матео Гоффриллером. Каждый из инструментов, на которых играют музыканты ансамбля, обладает собственной историей, полной удивительных событий.
Ансамбль был создан в 2009 году по инициативе художественного руководителя – директора Мариинского театра Валерия Гергиева. В настоящее время в составе ансамбля более 20 человек – ведущие солисты Симфонического оркестра театра. С 2013 года коллективом руководит скрипач Лоренц Настурика-Гершовичи.
Обширный репертуар Страдивари-ансамбля включает как классические сочинения для струнного оркестра (от Вивальди до Стравинского), так и лучшие образцы «легкой музыки» (фрагменты венских оперетт, аргентинские танго...), которые благодаря тембрам уникальных инструментов приобретают особое звучание. Ансамбль с неизменным успехом выступает в Концертном зале Мариинского театра как самостоятельный коллектив, сотрудничает с солистами оперы и инструменталистами, гастролирует в России и за границей.

A New Year concert with the Mariinsky Stradivarius Ensemble

The Mariinsky Stradivarius Ensemble is a group of musicians who perform on the world’s most famous and unique-sounding string instruments in the world. The ensemble was founded on the initiative of Valery Gergiev, Artistic and General Director of the Mariinsky Theatre. The Mariinsky Stradivarius Ensemble includes the finest instrumentalists and lead soloists in the Mariinsky Orchestra. Popular and well-loved classical works sound completely different when performed by them than at an average concert thanks to the incredibly rich and beautiful timbres of the instruments of Amati, Stradivari, Guarneri, Guadanini and Gofriller.
