That whole asking you out then saying yoir were joking thing happened to me.
Little backstory I has gotten into a "relationship " with a guy in 6th grade and then we ended up not talking for a like 7 months. In those 7 months I went from 6th to 7th grade. Now while I hadn't talked to him I didn't want to say I wasn't in a relationship since we hadn't actually said let's end it. Back to the story.

So a guy I had a crush on in my class came up to me and asked me if it was true i was dating that guy. I (taken by surprise) said I indeed was. He whipped around and ran back to his friends, yelling I TOLD YOU GUYS THOSE FREAKS WERE TOGETHER!.

And then he proceeded to slip and slam his face flat on the floor right in front of his friends. So it hurt, but then I couldn't stop laughing and walked back to class. He wouldn't look at me the rest of the year

In fifth grade, my crush (everyone's crush) told me he wanted to sit with me in assembly during recess. His name was Lucas (fucking ass hat) and he were walking up the stairs and he was holding my hand and I was sweating and dying so fucking happy. So when we got back to class, I turned around to my best friend and was like "LUCAS WANTS TO SIT WITH ME. I THINK HES GOING TO ASK ME OUT OMFG" kinda shit and we were giggly and happy and everything a school girl is in that moment. Then on the way to assembly, I went looking for him and found him with the more popular Julia (we share the same name) and I just hung back thinking he would still sit with me but I was too anxious to say anything. So when we got to the auditorium, that sat us down and we had to file in by the line and I ended up getting sat behind him and a friend of mine was behind me and she tapped me and said "I heard Lucas wanted to sit with you. I'm sorry you didn't get to" AND THAT MOTHER FUCKER TURNED AROUND AND SAID AND I QUOTE "haha that was a joke. Why would I want to sit with YOU. You're the uglier Julia" and I immediately started sobbing while his friend group laughed and ran out. In 8th grade, I switched to the private school. In 9th grade the prettier Julia switched to the same school and she was the "less popular" and in my ninth grade immature heart, I was like HAHAHAHA booyah bitch (even tho it wasn't necessarily her fault. I was immature guys) 😅 she didn't get bullied or anything that I saw she was pretty but just not in any sports or anything and everyone who has been to highschool knows that's the fastest way into be popular. but man it made my little evil heart happy. After I graduated early, I ended up dating Lucas's best friend. (on accident. I forgot they were friends in elementary school until he told me) and then when we split, Lucas contacted me, and told me he always had a crush on me blah blah blah and I reminded him of 5th grade and he was like "you gotta admit, it was funny" so when he invited me on a date, I went on every dating website I could find and told every cute Lucas what was going on and I found one that would agree to get revenge with me, and he showed up to the dinner with me looking fine as HELL if I'm being honest, and I sat down and said "hahaha oh no. Why would I want to date you. You're the uglier Lucas. Not funny is it?" And then left. I paid the "hotter" Lucas 20$ and thanked him for his time and we ended up dating for a while with that memory being something we enjoyed for a WHILE 😂

Any way. Yeah. That's my story of how I got back at the first boy who ever broke my heart. And I wouldn't have done shit if he didn't claim what he did was "so funny" I would've left his ass alone. But noooo he has to make me mad about it again as a grown adult 😂😂😂
