Dopo che un terremoto ha raso al suolo una città cinese nel 2008, più di seimila genitori sono stati incoraggiati a sostituire i bambini che avevano perso e ad andare avanti con le loro vite. AFTER THE RAIN segue due di queste famiglie per oltre un decennio. Ossessionate dalla paura, dal risentimento e da un indicibile dolore, le famiglie trovano la speranza oltre il trauma intergenerazionale per costruire un incerto domani.

After an earthquake leveled a Chinese city in 2008, more than 6,000 parents were encouraged to replace the children they had lost and move on with their lives. AFTER THE RAIN follows two of these families for over a decade. Haunted by fear, resentment and unspeakable pain, families find hope beyond intergenerational trauma to build an uncertain tomorrow.
