Both of their lucks almost function like sponges. Bennet has so much bad luck, but everyone who experiences "bad luck" around him never realize they've barely managed to avoid an actual worse fate because Bennet was there. Aventurine's good luck means he will inevitably succeed in all of his goals, but those around him are bound to suffer even when he doesn't want them to. Bennet takes other people's bad luck onto himself, and Aventurine takes other people's good luck.

yeah true, aventurine good luck is sort of a paradox, he has "good luck" but is it really luck? like if you got stabbed 100 times and survived you could say you were lucky to be alive but is it really? because not being stabbed at all would have been astronomically better. Its the survivor's guilt, he survived the massacre of his people but had to endure having everyone he held dear get killed. he was lucky to have survived and lived so long, but if it hadnt happened at all he would've been way happier.
