Hello ! First of all, nice work for the quality of the video, the tutorial, and the efficiency of the tips you're showing. I'm tying to replicate this affect so I duplicated my text and moved it to the side and when I press cmd + j, it duplicates my text but it's just behind it and it doesn't go on the side ... Maybe you could help me with this problem. I found a solution by moving the duplicated text one by one but it's uneven and very long.. I would really appreciate if you could give me an answer to this problem .. 😉 thank you !

I get the Paste at about the 2:12 time, but you lost me in the next step (Subract after the reselection of the entire image). You left out the keystrokes of the reselection, and that caused the layers representation to not be explained. HELP!!!

I'm using affinity designer 2, and when i doing the ctrl J (duplicate) step, the text does not become 3D?

At the 2:36 mark, when I expand the stroke and merge both the layers by clicking on then add icon, my affinity Designer pops up a add window and it freezes the program. I had to force quit and restart. This is the third in trying to get pass the 2:36 mark. I am using 1.7.3 version on a MacBook Pro10.14.6 version. Has anyone else had this problem and how did your resolve this? Thank you

Really like this video. Kudos to you. However, when I am at .50 of the video and hold down the shift key and choose the layer to subtract, it highlights more than one selection and when I choose Subtract nothing happens. I tried this over & over and it's frustrating...but overall, really like the outcome. You would think that once you highlighted the unwanted section, you could right click and remove. I am a Newbie so it might be me. Thanks again.

Can't follow this at all. I can't find the add and subtract buttons or the stroke panel. No idea how to continue.

When adding the two curves, we don’t have to divide them, subtract, and add them again. That’s 3 unnecessary steps. Once you add them, that’s it.

Everybody is faking 3D text by creating dozens of duplicates. Is there no extrude function in Designer?

Too bad, you seem to know what you are doing but the whole process is pretty hard to follow. Noticed many times the info box doesn't match your action.
Adding vocal instructions would simplify the tutorial.

Frustrating. If I wanted to READ a tutorial I would have bought a book instead of looking for a video. Why do people think that video should be read?
