MS Paint is super cool. Photoshop has so many features that allow you to draw faster and easier (drawing on separate layers, playing with perspective, adjusting colors and etc.), but MS paint in spite of its simplicity requires a hard work and very intuitive approach.

I use MS paint. Its actually really good, has more than first meets the eye the only down side I've noticed is the app just shuts down when used for to long... Which is really frustrating when you haven't saved every 10 minutes

Yes, Ms paint is a great start for beginners in digital art. I am too but I didn't really give it much of a consideration once I had my first drawing tablet. I suck at colouring or colour theory, I think I should get my colour skills strong in Ms paint before I jump into other softwares. So for beginners, Ms paint is a great start then if they want to they can branch off to more advanced softwares like Krita, Photoshop etc.

MS Paint is more rather 'realistic painting' than other advanced softwares. You basically have to treat it like you're painting on a real canvas.

I used to us ms paint all the time, and even though I moved on, I still have a soft spot for ms paint artists.

i only use the simple round brush in krita, limitations breed creativity

MS paint is great! I don't use it anymore personally, but it's how I first got into digital art! It has layers and transparency now too, although idk if that's only on windows 11 or not
