there are many natural things in the world that we people have every right to be afraid of and one of them is sinkholes the irony of sinkholes is that they're entities that can truly form in almost any place that has land I mean after all they're often caused by a series of events that happen below the ground that expand in such a way that it's shocking how quickly things can fall apart just as natural is to wonder what happens after a sinkhole forms and what's at the bottom of them believe it or not people have actually done some digging into that and have found out the answers to some of them and they might not be what you think with that in mind here now are 20 weird things scientists have found in sink holes

I once dove on a sinkhole in Florida (Steam boat Spring). It was 80 feet deep with water so clear it was clear as glass all the way to the surface The sand in the bottom was in a state of perpetual motion from the water flowing in to the spring. The sides had exposed rock with crevices large enough to squeeze into if a person was dumb enough to do so. There were schools of small albino fish living in the crevices. I did reach into one of them and was hocked at the strength of the current as I extended my arm into it. IN those days it was not widely known to the point that we had climb around a farm pasture gate to get there. The Spring got it's name from a steam boat sunk in the channel to the river by the Confederates in the closing months of the Civil War. The frames of the boat bottom were clearly visible as we explored the channel I saw what looked like a small fresh water flounder only about three inches long I was not able to find them again on a subsequent trip. I think the spring has been commercialized sometime the past as I saw a billboard advertising it.

That sinkhole that keeps taking entire trees is really scary. How deep is it l wonder to be able to keep sucking down entire trees at such a speed..

Appalachian mountains in east Tennessee gets them as well, we've had several locally in New Tazewell and Tazewell TN, the city hall of new Tazewell actually sets beside one
