The Disney+ Original movie “Cheaper by the Dozen,” which is a fresh take on the 2003 hit family comedy starring Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff, will premiere March 18, 2022, exclusively on Disney+. “Cheaper by the Dozen” is directed by Gail Lerner with a screenplay by Kenya Barris & Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry based upon the novel by Frank Bunker Gilbreth, Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey. Kenya Barris is producing, with Shawn Levy, Gabrielle Union, Brian Dobbins and Donald J. Lee, Jr. serving as executive producers. The movie stars Gabrielle Union, Zach Braff, Erika Christensen, Timon Kyle Durrett, Journee Brown, Kylie Rogers, Andre Robinson, Caylee Blosenski, Aryan Simhadri, Leo Abelo Perry, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Christian Cote, Sebastian Cote and Luke Prael.

This feels like more of a Yours Mine & Ours remakes than a Cheaper by the Dozen remake. Am I think only one who thinks that?

This is NOT Cheaper by the Dozen. This is Yours, Mine, and Ours. Cheaper by the Dozen was a true story of the Gilbreth family. The kids, all 12 of them, were all born to both the same parents. The Steve Martin/Bonnie Hunt remake got that right. Yours, Mine, and Ours is the story of a blended family of 18 kids from two widowed individuals. Frank had 10. Helen had 8 and they had one more together in the original with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda. The Dennis Quaid remake ended right after the wedding so no time for the "ours" but a close enough remake to borrow the title. Cheaper ~ 12 bio related kids. Yours ~ 18 blended family kids. So this is NOT Cheaper by the Dozen, it's barely Yours, Mine, and Ours. But it is NOT Cheaper by the Dozen ~ which Disney owns so they should know that!!

First, the Cheaper by the Dozens were coming every fifty years. Then, they began coming every twenty. In 3 decades, we could be seeing an event horizon where new Cheaper by the Dozen remakes are coming every few seconds.

If you guys didn’t know, the 2003 movie wasn’t even the original one either, Fox did a film in the 1950s with Clifton Webb and it also had a book in the late 1940s, so the story of Cheaper by the Dozen has been around for a while

I see a lot of people calling this a remake of Yours, Mine, and Ours. And I kinda agree with them. I mean, aside from the family's last name being Baker, you would probably think it WAS a Yours, Mine, and Ours remake.

Edit: Forgot to write this when I saw the movie at first. It was okay. Nothing spectacular that would change the film industry as we know it, it was just okay.
