I remember this from 1966. My brother changed the station on the only radio in the house, so we could listen to our generation's music. This was the first song that came on. Best summer song ever, best version! Billy Stewart is still singing this, up there, where it's always summer! Thanks for bringing this back.

Just discovered this video today, this guy and his band should of came to California and be part of the low rider show circuit, us Chicanos/ Chicanas we love Billy Stewart and his music, this guy would have been the closest thing to see Billy live on stage.👏👏👏👏👏

It's difficult to hit the notes correctly in a Billy Stewart song because of his unique style. Mr. Locke did a good job Billy Stewart is my grandfather's Calvin "Hound Dog" Ruffin nephew. Although I was not born when Billy died he and my grandfather's music will continue to live on in our family and in our hearts. May their souls rest in peace as their music lives on....

I know this isn't Billy Stewart, since Billy Stewart passed away, in 1970. However, this is still the best cover, of the Billy Stewart version of Summertime, I've ever seen. (including Greg Kinnear in Stuck On You, Lol). Hats off to you.
