AB is a great defender and he's been playing as a 6'2 SG for most of his career meaning he be guarding taller SG and he's did that incredibly well.
Guarding PG with the same size as him is a piece of Chantilly cake for him.
Also this dude is so great at defense that he manage to hide the worst defensive player in the history ( IT ) on the defensive end during his time with the Boston Celtics

He's an annoying defender. His hands are always around you.
I hate him when he was on Boston, he gave John Wall a hard time when he was defending him. At the same time, I also miss him and IT there. The backcourt duel between my Wizards and the Celtics were so fun to watch.

2:08, that is what you want to see. Steals and blocks fill the sheet, but good defense is beyond stats. Incredible lateral quickness combined with a strong will to defend. I hope he comes back next season

Most underrated defender ever... he made to a celtics fan due to his defense. he was solid two player in boston. after the trade, he got handed around too much... but if i am not wrong, he always was a starter... he is a humble guy and a team worker. he know his role and he doing it professional. Its a pity that his shooting is not that good anymore but you always need defense. and thats his job... love goes out to AB ☘
