Whomever came up with this idea should get a nice pay raise! It's very quick, and very secure! I like the fact that each time you unlock the phone, not only are the numbers in a different random order, but the spacing and number of randomized numbers changes each time, adding to the diffculty for someone to be able to figure it out!

I know this video is old, but I've been looking for a video to send to someone showing Picture Password.

A couple of things worth mentioning...

First, it's *not* like Windows 8 or 10's picture password (or whatever they call it). In Windows, you draw designs on a picture and that combination of designs acts as your password. For this, you're dragging a number to a specific location in the picture.

Second, keep in mind that you don't, and probably shouldn't, have to put your finger on the number you're using to drag it to its location. Pressing anywhere on the screen will cause the numbers to move.

The great thing about using this method is that someone can be standing next to you looking directly at your screen and not know your "combination." The numbers are just a moving layer over the picture, so you put your finger wherever you want, but watch the number you've chosen and move it to where it needs to go.

I told someone which number I use and after watching me use the phone continuously for weeks, they asked if they could try my picture password, thinking they knew how to unlock it. They actually did get close, but fortunately, they were off enough that it didn't unlock. While not technically fitting the definition, between the number and location, it's almost like its own two factor authentication.

Both easy, secure and very simple. Its not complicated at all, and it's also very convient and very hard for those idiot that always peek at others phone to figure out the password. This is a true innovation, not like just adding a new row of apps and calling it something very exciting and new (know the reference? Sorry if I insulted your favourite phone company through this though). Whoever invented this is a genius.
