Sorry to hear about those injuries, I can only imagine how frustrating it can be right now. Wish you a speedy recovery !

Damn Alex, that is awful news. But take heart! About 20 years ago I sliced deep into the tip of my left (fretting) index finger with a surgical blade while working as a jeweler. I never had follow up meetings with any specialist, just the initial treatment by a clinic doctor. The stiffness (via scar tissue) goes away/breaks up with movement and stretching. The nerve damage is definitely nothing to worry about, it's simply numb to very specific touch. But pressure and sensory accommodation makes up for it in terms of function. Time will be your friend! Do NOT worry; just keep working gently and consistently. We can't wait for you to be playing again at full capacity; but we will and are happy you are okay!!!

Dear Alex,
I made similiar experiences with Physicians.
Its always better to ask more than 1 doc for help and advice if theres a serious problem. Im sure there are nerve Specialists with different healing techniques/approaches, keep searching.

Please be patience, dont lose Hope and take care.
You will come back stronger than before!
