Very nice dress and simple tutorial, but this needs some adjustment and additional information to work.
1. Make sure your fabric is stretchy, either knit cotton or has some elastic. Bi-stretch is enough, make sure the stretch is in the width of the dress.
2. If you have any boobs at all you will have problems wearing this dress. Add some shaping at the sides, darts under your boobas, you can also add side darts if needed (the armhole is, by god, big enough) and even in your back. That defines the shape, but you can still keep it loose. Then it won't look like you just threw on a blanket and won't behave like it either.
3. The armholes are quite big. If you like it that way, nice, but i would absolutely make them smaller. Use a tanktop that you like as a referrence.
4. Pattern mismatch. In this pattern you can hardly see it, but the back of the dress has the pattern upside down. That's just how it is if you sew a dress like that. Make sure your fabric does have a pattern where it isn't as noticable or no print at all, unless you really don't care about that. Then do whatever you like.

5. This hem will become wonky and uneven. No matter what material the dress will be made of, the side seems are cut on the bias. That means on the seams you have much more stretch than on the rest of the fabric, even if the fabric is not stretchy at all. It will stretch out at the sides after some time and the hem will be uneven and wonky.
To prevent that, there is a simple trick: Hang it on a hanger, somewhere it can hang freely (so, not your closet, but maybe a door or a curtain rod) before adding the bias tape on the hem, but after adding it to the neckline and arm holes. Let it hang for at least over night (if the material is not stretchy at all, that's enough), even better for a few days. Then even out the hem by cutting away excess overstretched fabric, try it on maybe and THEN hem it.

Как насчёт нагрудной вытачки?Где она?Если её не сделать, то при носке, изделие будет падать назад и будет очень неудобно!Я закройщик и я это точно знаю из опыта!

Thanks. I have always used a pattern. I shall try this, then make my own adjustments if needed. I can finish the seems if I so desire too. Thinking using an inexpensive material to start, see where I like the armhole etc. Excellent for a sunny day!
