Something about the way this song iterates on itself and seemingly becomes more discordant while adding layers onto the "loop"... idk, it strikes a chord in me. It sticks with me. It feels... far. Far away, but in a way where the only thing keeping me here instead of in the distance is the past, or the fear of the future, or something like that.
IDK, it's a banger of a way to open a banger of an album, though.
