Was playing Emi's route after finishing Lilly's. Saw Lilly in the library. She said "I was beginning to think you'd forgotten all about me."

Had to stop. Too many feels.

I specifically remember three of Lilly's scenes as the absolute best of Katawa Shoujo (in my opinion), those being
1. Waking up after Hisao's second heart-attack
2. The wheat field in Hokkaido
3. The first time you meet her, by accident no less, opening a random door to be greeted with this song. It's amazing how well this song goes with this one.

Why do I continue to make myself feel feelings about a girl that is, never was, and never will be real nearly a year after playing through? Fuck. Never have I felt this way about a fictional character before.

One of my favorite lines in the game is from Lily's route, where Hisao asks in his internal dialog when did he begin liking tea so much.

Replayed the Lilly route for the first time since release. I was 13 then I'm 22 now. It hit me so much harder this time. Crying my fucking eyes out rn. Played the whole thig in 1 sitting. Fuck man. She's so my type too. That was beautiful

It's funny how the older I get, the more I feel like having a relationship with someone like Lily would be beneficial to me. Unconditional love is rare to find and God is it beautiful to feel. Someone that can both fuel your fire but keep it from going out of control. A confidant that relies on you just as much. Selfless in everyway but doesn't lose her own drive and wants. Loyal to the end. Never understood why a lot of people didn't like Lily or thought she was "too perfect"
Everyone has flaws. Describing someone as perfect shows that the have internal flaws. As the old saying goes "Those who smile the most have felt the most pain"
Never judge a person by the scars on their body. Understand them for the scars in their heart.

I remember exploding into tears when Lily and Akira were leaving. Thought she was going to go forever. Reminded me of events in my own life. This game really touches you.

It’s been six years since I completed this game. I remember getting Lily’s last, and coming here to listen to this song one last time. And now I’m back again, to listen again, and thank the developers for creating such a masterpiece. Never, in the history of visual novels, has there ever been characters who have seemed so real that I almost fell in love. I know some felt the same way. I almost felt grief when finishing the game, but I hold those memories to heart. It’s such a shame that no one talks about it anymore, it deserves much more than it got.

After I finished Lilly's route I literally sat there at my computer listening to this song over and over and over again. I dont think i've ever been so attached to a non-fiction character. She was the first route I ever went down, and after that, I never felt the need to go down any others. I did do hanoko's a long time later. and now im getting back into it and looking at shitzune.

Lilly's story was the first and only story I chose to complete in this visual novel. Her character stuck with me so much afterwards that I started to regularly drink tea. Never really stuck as a habit in the long-term, however coming back to this video years later gives me the urge to drink tea again. Good memories :)

When Hisao was holding the origami and was about to run after her, I literally shouted: YES GO AFTER HER! My heart was racing as he was chasing after her and reached the airport, and I got so emotional as he started to have heart problems, yelling "NO!". After feeling so sad when he woke up at the hospital, saw the music box and she came in, I had tears of joy, I couldn't have been happier, and I have never been this emotional reading, watching TV or playing a game. 4LS really nailed this story!

How does one game... ONE GAME. Bring out so many emotions? And for characters that aren't even real? I loved Lilly and Hanako, seeing Lilly ride off? I burst into tears... Just... How... How did the creators of this game do this???
