Collassians 3 is a very difficult text even for the most studious of Biblical scholars. Maybe better left to a serious Bible study. I’ve watched coach Adams since his days at Howard in Big Spring. He’s a wonderful coach, but sometimes applying Scriptures to modern world situations gets you nowhere. Think about this one “Whoever comes to me and doesn’t hate father and mother, spouse and children, and brothers and sisters—yes, even one’s own life—cannot be my disciple.” Luke‬ ‭14‬:‭26‬. Then there’s this fifth commandment thing. Wreck e’m Tech!!

He used a bible verse as a teachable moment and somehow that's racist. Unreal the world we live in. He has nothing to apologize for. Players are soft.

It would help to note that biblical slavery is not what we know as slavery. Except Israelites in Egypt, slavery was indentured servitude. You owed a debt paid off through labor.

As stated before, before you reposted the same story because it has to do with “racism” biblical texts aren’t racist, especially against one member of the team and not the others. Get over yourselves…
