I actually got this topic idea from a few of my subscribers in Argentina that told me about "Patria Grande" and it inspired me to me make a video about "Proposed nations that never came to fruition." Hope you enjoy this filler vid! What other topics do you suggest we cover?

Your videos are incredibly good at negating physical pain. I'm not joking, I had terrible stomach pain and pain killers didn't help at all, so I turned on YouTube to put mind somewhere else and stumbled upon this video. It was so efficient that I can only describe the rest of the time before the arrival of the ambulance as "discomfort". It's something about your "flow" of narrative, it's so relaxing. Thank you for this video

as a Polish-born person I must highly praise how well you pronounce "Piłsudski". 10/10, it is so extremely rare that someone outside Poland pronounces Polish surname correctly - hats off for you and keep up the amazing work you always do!

There could be second part of this series. Quebec too almost became a separate country. In 1995 referendum Quebec lost the vote by .58%.

0:10 Now I get it! I always thought you meant that nobody was buying your merch and you just never sold out of it. This makes so much more sense now!

I was not expecting Intermarium, mainly because even as a concept, it was always supposed to be some sort of a Federation or an alliance, rather than a single country, but it's cool that it got included. Piłsudski is, in my opinion, really an overlooked and interesting historical figure, quite a complex and paradoxical one, if you look closely (and controversial). I'm glad that he simingly starts to get some international attention. There's a brand new biography of him, written by American historian Joshua D. Zimmerman.

Do "Maphilindo" which used to be the unification plan of Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia

Indonesia and Malaysia was also almost United. At the ending days of WW2, before Japan officially surrendered, our leaders met in Kuala Lumpur and agree to unite the NUSANTARA into a single state. But the plan was failed and Indonesia declared our own Independence on 17th August 1945. There was also a proposal to unite Malaysia, Indonesia and The Philippines into a some kind of union called Maphilindo, but also failed due to Malaysia annexed North Borneo and Sarawak which pissed off Indonesian and Philippines leader at that time

I have this problem where I’ve learned Spanish as a Second Language from 2 groups: Chileans and Spaniards, the two most extreme dialects of the Spanish language, so when speaking to the “easy” accents of Mexico or Colombia I struggle massively.

As a Bengali from the state of West Bengal India, I would like to point out that Bengal had always been one province since the start of British rule in India which started with Bengal being annexed by the British East India Company after their victory at the Battle of Plassey against the last Nawab of Bengal Siraj-ud-Daulah on 23rd June, 1757 (by unfair means nonetheless). However, they divided Bengal along religious lines to quell the nationalist movements taking place in Bengal at that time. This happened in 1905 leading to the creation of East Bengal (later becoming East Pakistan now Bangladesh) and West Bengal (later broken up further to make the states of Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand in India). My grandmother was from Barisal in Bangladesh. Hope to visit it oneday.

Actually, this "Patria Grande" proposal was the way that the former spanish Vice-Kingdom used to organize in Latin America. Later on, they've divided in several vice-kingdoms, more closer to the actual borders of the countries as they are today.

Cool stuff. You got me to read the Atlas of Atlas of Extinct Countries by Defoe Gideon. That was interesting too!
