Im a honey fan. My mom use to put honey on the bottom of my cereal bowl (usually rice crispies 😋) and then when you scoop some cereal, you also scoop some honey!! It’s amazing because it doesn’t melt in the milk so you really have to scoop it to eat it. I went on treasure hunts each morning and loved it!! (Also we bought the bear honey 👁👄👁 )

Always get local honey! Not only are you supporting local businesses, but it also has some allergy benefits! When the bees get the local flowers pollen, it leaves small traces of the pollen in the honey. When you eat it, it help you build immunity to the pollen. So if you have bad allergies, GET LOCAL HONEY! :D

Honey has different flavors depending on the season due to the pollen. I recommend trying different flavors of honey where honey can shine but also not over power the food or drink. My favorite way is milk tea but I think you have said you don’t like milk tea but maybe a thin layer on toast or something.

This build turned out so charming and cozy!
I have a few ideas to make things feel very farmcore!
-Drop little cowboy boots and outback hats in the builds
-Add front porches to the house(s) with patio furniture and iced lemon tea or iced coffee to act as sweet tea

-Include a little campfire with hay beds and a guitar
-Set the dream address at sunrise! (With a little rooster custom code hidden somewhere on the island.)

Farmcore is very nostalgic to me. I see all kinds of farms when I walk out my door and down the neighborhood gravel path on the shoulder for a couple hours before turning around. Long, large stretches of fields. But also barbed wire partitions for grazing animals for the farmers who keep horses, horses, one of them cows, one of them also has sheep, and a flock of geese are just free roaming. A chorus of barking dogs asserting dominance from their homesteads. If I'm lucky I'll see the deer herd too, either right by the road or off by the treeline on the farside of a field. Frogs constantly croak in the ditch and the ponds, and birds perch atop the telephone wires. Hawks sometimes glide in circles. Daily, an airplane flies overhead cutting a trail of jetstream into the sky. The housing style is generally desaturated, beige and gray and blue, suiting the dreary fog of a rainy day best, and the farm buildings like barns and silos and storage sheds all seem to have this tinny, metal sort of domed roof, sturdy but put up in a hurry to get started on work right away.

As a beekeeper who loves ACNH but isn't great at building - I LOVE this so much!!! Thank you for advocating for bees. :) <3
I would recommend trying to check farmer's markets and buy from someone who keeps and harvests locally whenever possible - depending on what time of the year the honey was harvested it will have a different taste!
TLDR: While adulteration in grocery store products is not harmful enough for most people to worry about it is absolutely common, scummy, and creates an inferior product.

Sad to say honey is the 3rd most adulterated substance you can buy in a grocery store. Milk and olive oil are worse. It sounds paranoid but it's never a waste of time to research the brands available to you. These substances appear normal but even if they claim to be "regulated" they are rarely/never tested on a molecular level which means industrial suppliers can add water, glucose, dextrose, molasses, sugar, sugar syrup, or non-naturally occurring proteins to thin their stock, alter flavor, and boost profit per item. There's also shady loopholes like harvesting in one country and shipping to another so when it is imported they can somehow label it as being from the country it was shipped through.

I literally did my first honey harvest of the season up at my uni's big apiary (we have 30+ hives) two days ago!! This is such a cute setup and I love the way you talk about bees! The truth is that a european honeybee bee will basically never sting when it is away from the hive (unless accidentally/you step on it) because they only sting to protect the hive. They are so docile and very sweet insects and absolutely fascinating to study and spend time with. I could go on about them for a long time lol!

yesss I love that Raven's a bee advocate! All bees get a bad rep for being aggressive, all bees usually get clumped together and given a bad rep when wasps and yellow-jackets/hornets are the aggressive ones. Honeybees and bumble bees are very docile, and my philosophy has always been to stay still and calm when a bee is very close to you/on you, because they won't hurt you if they don't feel like they're threatened, also some bees will land on you just to chill and take a break! I feel honored whenever they land on me heheh. Not to mention how important bees are ecologically, especially bumblebees (they're usually big and fluffy), so I love the appreciation!🤠🐝
