That's a SOG fielder, It's a 7cr17mov blade so it's on the softer end but the knife itself is a starter knife around $25. It'll take a nice edge and it's easy to sharpen even if you don't know how to.

The softer the steel, The EASIER it is to sharpen! i guess if you are using a pull through sharpener who knows, which no one that has any knife blade knowledge uses... unless you want to sharpen a dollar store knife you dont care about thats dull.

Why doesnt he try to cut the paper with the knife instead of going right to sawing??? Like, do the cut test the same before and after the sharpening, stop intetionally messing up the first cut so the second cut looks good

What….? Wait I’m sorry🥺 but how does a softer steel move it? How is it harder to sharpen a softer steel? I facet gemstones and cutting a sapphire is much harder (literally)😊 haha but it takes way way more time than cutting a tourmaline. It’s the same for steel too so I’m confused 🫠

NEVER put a knife in any kind of pull through sharpener. It’s bad on the edge it’s carbide. His sharpens best is just one side of that pull through. Wtf Brad stop lying to these people
